How might we depart from a space through isolation and disorientation?
This lighting installation aims to isolate users in 3 distinct boxes and disorient them with ominous colored lights. In this group project, I was a part of the concept, design, and fabrication team.

For the Dr. Sleep premiere (sequel to The Shining), we pitched a pop-up Overlook Hotel on Hollywood & Vine St. I modeled and rendered the Grady Hallway, Room 237, it’s bathroom of course, & the Torrance Quarters. Unfortunately, this project was never brought to life, but I really enjoyed diving into the details of this beautifully haunted hotel.

How might we provide a corporeal realm in which beings are liberated from stress through cathartic experiences?
These are my findings during my research semester for my capstone. I discovered so many correlations with design and the human psyche during this exploration.
I plan to create a space that humans come to experience fear, adrenaline and catharsis in an entertaining/therapeutic environment.

An athenaeum is a place to perform, observe and appreciate the arts.

-a private conversation between two people
-two persons facing each other
From concept to construction of a chair that studies the ergonomics of my body/creating a chair that takes your mind away from your work and makes you feel at home.
Pressure points, lunar form, and the benefits of hammocks are all ideas considered in this custom rocking chair.
The only thing I didn’t do when considering this chair was harvest the wood myself.
Poised somewhere between experience and exploitation, Current evokes the conversation between urbanity and the natural world. Inspired by the fluid exchange of kinetic energy, Current conceptualizes the vivacious charisma of Rany and the vitality of the seed.
The biomimetic abstractions nod to the form of the pods encasing Red Sandalwood seeds, while the chandelier illuminates the source of the Beng seeds. Just as Rany transforms simple seeds into beautiful artwork, Current makes use of everyday materials such as plastic, glass, and rubber flooring to sculpt a unique experience for consumers.
